Widespread praise for Sheffield Wednesday book, 'Our Lowest Ebb?'

Updated: Jun 14, 2021

'Bloody brilliant!'

That was the verdict of Tony Toms, Sheffield Wednesday's former fitness coach, after reading Our Lowest Ebb?, a book he features prominently in. The book is a new history of Wednesday's darkest period in the 1970s, but has been very well received by fans and former players alike.

Chris Turner, an Owls fan who played in goal for Wednesday, said: "What a great read...Brings back loads of memories watching the players and team going to that infamous Middlesbrough game and getting hammered 8-0 to lifting KK off the pitch against Bolton staying up. Great days."

"Bloody brilliant... it should sell like hot cakes" - Tony Toms "I am well impressed with the style and content, in-depth and insightful composition. An excellent read" - Danny Cameron "It's gone straight to the top of my league table!" - David Cusack
